A recent spread in People Magazine shows comedian Kevin Hart and former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal reenacting the cover to the famous film Twins.
The 1988 film, starring Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger as a pair of oddly mismatched twins, was a box-office smash at the time of its release, raking in over $218 million during its theatrical run.
Hart, who stands 5’4”, leans up against O’Neal, the former center for the Los Angeles Lakers who checks in at 7’1”, in the shot. The set-up, wardrobe and staging of the photograph is almost a dead-on replica of the original film’s poster—with the exception, of course, that Schwarzenegger and Devito, who play Julius and Vincent Benedict, respectively, aren’t in it.
While there aren’t any current plans for a remake of the film—the spread was reportedly just done for fun, and to pay homage to the original—both Hart and O’Neal dished on the shoot and how they wouldn’t change their bodies in a video interview with People.
The 42-year-old O’Neal will return as an analyst on TNT’s popular Inside the NBA postgame show with Charles Barkley, Kenny “the Jet” Smith and Ernie Johnson when the NBA season kicks off later this month. Hart, 35, who recently starred in the box-office hit Think Like a Man Too, will next be seen in the Chris Rock directed film Top Five, slated for release in December.
