Jesus take the wheel. Levar Burton is cursing up a storm.
On Saturday, the Roots star and Reading Rainbow host took part in an annual 24-hour video game marathon in Austin, Texas, that raises money for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
Burton opened up Adam Mansbach’s expletive-filled kid’s book, Go the F––– to Sleep, and read it aloud to a small group of excited adults.
The book tells the story of a father trying to convince his son to to sleep at night.
In May, Burton launched a Kickstarter campaign to bring Reading Rainbow back to kids everywhere, this time as a massive digital library. The campaign widely surpassed its donation goal of $1 million in less than 24 hours, in total raising over $5 million.
