Former En Vogue singer Dawn Robinson is threatening to sue Lifetime if the network broadcasts An En Vogue Christmas, a special set to air this weekend.
In the movie, the group saves a local concert house after being convinced by a local family to do so. Robinson split from the R&B group in 1997 and will not be included in the film. Her replacement, Rhonda Barrett, who joined in 2003, will appear alongside original members Terry Ellis and Cindy Herron.
Maxine Jones, another original member, will also not be featured in the film.
Robinson says, “I have no interest in watching it. It looks horrible. I’m sad for them. After seeing the Aaliyah biopic, I’m extremely worried that this is going to be a train wreck.”
Robinson is likely to have difficulty suing to stop the movie, as she has already relinquished her En Vogue rights, according to TMZ.
The movie is set to premiere on November 22.
