Camille Cosby has finally broken her silence on her husband Bill’s rape allegations.
In a statement released to CBS Evening News and other news outlets, Camille compares the coverage of her husband’s allegations to the recent Rolling Stone story of an alleged campus gang rape.
Camille says a “different man” has been portrayed in the media the last two months, and it is a “portrait of a man” she “does not know.”
She continues:
There appears to be no vetting of my husband’s accusers before stories are published or aired. An accusation is published and immediately goes viral.
Camille met Cosby in 1963, and the two were married a year later. Her full statement is below:
