Rick Ross reveals how he lost 85 pounds after suffering two seizures

Rapper Rick Ross is opening up about his massive weight loss in an interview with Good Morning America.

The rapper sat down with ABC’s Sarah Haines and told her that he reached a point in his life where so many positive things were happening in his career, but his weight was holding him him back in his personal life.

“Two years ago, I suffered two seizures,” the 38-year-old said. “And, you know, I woke up from that. And I was like, ‘Wow.’”

He said he had no choice but to change.

“Sodas was the first thing I cut out. Most definitely. That was, majority of my sugar. The way I ate, you know, fast-food,” he said.

“You know, I feel I’m fat boy forever. I’m going to always be a fat boy. But it most definitely was just something I had to do, you know, for the better, you know. And I always enjoy my size. I love taking my shirt off, running around, you know … it was really a health issue for me,” he said.

Ross says his new morning routine consists of eating three eggs with turkey bacon for breakfast followed by a rigorous workout routine similar to CrossFit that he calls “RossFit.”
