A North Carolina woman shot her husband when she mistook him for a home intruder Friday morning.
According to the Associated Press, Fayetteville police said Tiffany Segule, 27, shot her husband and Fort Bragg soldier, Zia Segule, 28, when he triggered their home alarm reentering the house.
When the 28-year-old left home, his wife fell back asleep. He returned with a bag of breakfast food and activated the alarm system.
Tiffany Segule armed herself with a handgun, believing someone broke into the house. She shot through the bedroom door, hitting her husband in the upper chest.
Zia Segule was treated at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and released later the same day.
