Charles Barkley and Gabrielle Union seem to be caught up in a war of words.
Their feud kicked off Thursday afternoon when Union’s husband, Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade, received a spot on the NBA All-Star roster for an 11th consecutive time.
TNT analyst Charles Barkley shared his thoughts on Wade’s selection and felt another player deserved his spot.
“Dwyane Wade shouldn’t have made the All-Star team. He is a Hall of Famer, but he didn’t deserve to be an All-Star this year,” Barkley said on Inside the NBA. “Bosh has been the best player for Miami this year. Brandon Knight in Milwaukee, Brandon Jennings in Detroit or Kyle Korver in Atlanta should have been rewarded for having good seasons. This might be the only time Knight, Jennings or Korver have a chance to make the All-Star team. I always give the edge to guys who are winning. Dwyane Wade is not having an All-Star year.”
Union clearly got word of Barkley’s comments and sent out a Twitter message implying that Barkley’s opinion doesn’t matter.
Union’s tweet was later read to Barkley on Inside the NBA, and he went in on the Being Mary Jane star’s acting skills.

“Don’t ever mention you and Meryl Streep in the same sentence,” Barkley said in response to Union’s tweet. “Meryl Streep would never be on Snakes on a Plane or Madea.”
A fellow commentator then informed Barkley that Union never starred in Snakes on a Plane.
“Well she could have been. I’ve seen her act. She could be on Snakes on a Plane or Madea,” Barkley added.
“I’m not one of those people that’s gonna turn the other cheek. You say something bad about me and I’m gonna say something bad about you.”
