Luther Vandross was outed as gay after his death.

India Arie tried to reach out and touch Lady Gaga on the Grammy Awards red carpet Sunday night, but that didn’t work out too well.

While walking the red carpet, Arie tapped Gaga on the shoulder, attempting to say hi, but was swatted on the hand by Gaga’s bodyguard, as if she was a common peasant who snuck onto the Grammy red carpet.

The “I Am Not My Hair” singer immediately turned to Twitter to vent her frustrations.

“Lady Gaga, her security swatted my wrist – clapping something hard against my turquoise bracelet #Grammy2015 smh,” Aire wrote.

She followed up her initial tweet by explaining that she has no beef with Gaga but is upset that her security guard touched her aggressively.

“Her security swatted my hand. SHE didn’t see me. And my point is not Lady Gaga, my point is — this is the energy of the Hollywood bubble. I give and expect respect – but some people aren’t like that – and yes I was upset because Lady Gaga security guard TOUCHED me. I was not upset because Lady Gaga didn’t SEE me. I don’t like being touched aggressively. Period.”
