Markice Moore, an actor best known for his role as Andrew on season three of The Walking Dead, is recovering at home after being hospitalized for a suicide attempt, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The 28-year-old Moore was found unresponsive in his home in Woodland Hills last Tuesday morning. He was rushed to the hospital and placed under a psychiatric hold for three days. A source told THR that the recent death of his grandmother had taken a toll on the actor but that he now regrets the suicide attempt.
A rep for Moore released the following statement.
“Mr. Moore is focused on getting the help he needs and moving forward with his life to live it to the fullest. He has a bright future ahead of him that he is looking forward to. At this time we ask that you respect his privacy while he is taking time to heal and keep Markice and his family in your prayers.”
Some of Moore’s other on-screen appearances include the film ATL and TV shows Meet the Browns and Army Wives. Just a few days before he attempted suicide, Moore recorded the following video and posted it on YouTube.
In 2010, Moore was charged with assaulting his infant daughter. However, the charges were later suspended, and he went on to marry the mother of the child.
