Tracy Morgan is starting to show some great signs of improvement.
Eight months after a car accident left the comedian with a broken leg, nose and ribs, he was photographed this week walking with the help of a cane to a rehabilitation appointment in New Jersey.
His fiance Megan Wollover and daughter Maven were also with him.
The accident, which claimed the life of Morgan’s friend and fellow comedian James McNair, occurred last June.
Morgan had to miss the 40th anniversary Saturday Night Live episode, due to his injuries, though he was honored for his work during the show.
And while the latest video from Wednesday posted on the Daily Mail shows a marked improvement, Morgan still had to sit and rest at one point as he waited for Wollover and their daughter to exit the car.
Morgan and his attorneys have brought forward a lawsuit against Wal-Mart over its safety practices after concerns arose that the driver who hit Morgan’s vehicle, a Wal-Mart employee, was asleep at the wheel. While Wal-Mart has fired back, placing some of the blame on Morgan for not wearing a seat belt, the legal action is ongoing.
In the meantime, Morgan is just trying to get his life back to normal.
“He’s fighting to get better, and if there’s a chance for him to be back to the Tracy Morgan he once was, he’s going to try to do that,” said his lawyer, Benedict Morelli, last November. “But we just don’t know because of the severity of the injuries that he sustained and the fact that he had such a severe brain injury.”
