Tamar Braxton broke down in tears Wednesday during a special bullying segment on The Real.
The show’s co-host, Jeannie Mai, asked Braxton what advice she has for others to help cope or respond directly to bullies. Braxton, whose son Logan turns two in June, immediately began to cry.
“I don’t have any advice to give my son because,” Braxton said before trailing off. Then, Braxton revealed that a “particular person” said she looked like a muppet, and the insult still stings to this day.
“People say it so much, sometimes I start to believe it,” Braxton cried. “I even ask my friends: ‘Do I look like a muppet?'”

The singer didn’t mention anyone specifically, though it could be a reference to singer Chris Brown calling her a “muppet face a**” on Instagram back in November.
Two years ago, singer K. Michelle called Braxton a “40-year-old muppet” in an interview with Philadelphia radio station Power 99 FM.
Braxton’s Real co-host Loni Love caught some flak on Twitter Wednesday from users who felt the comedian may have been holding in a laugh during Braxton’s comments.
Braxton posted a hug between her and co-host Tamera Mowry after the show:
