George Zimmerman was involved in a shooting Monday afternoon, according to police.
Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell confirmed Zimmerman’s involvement to WESH-TV and said officers at the scene said it appeared he suffered a minor gunshot wound.
Authorities say the incident involved two males who have had an “on-going dispute.” The other male has yet to be identified.
Zimmerman’s vehicle has a gunshot hole in the passenger side window.
WFTV is reporting that Zimmerman was “shot in the face.”
In January, Zimmerman’s girlfriend called him a “psychopath” and accused him of assault, but no charges were filed.
Zimmerman was arrested in January 2013 following a domestic dispute with his then-girlfriend Samantha Scheibe. She never filed charges, and he was released.
In September 2013, Zimmerman’s then-estranged wife Shellie Zimmerman called police, saying George punched her father and was threatening them with a gun. When police arrived, there was not enough evidence to file charges.
