It’s good to know some parents have a healthy sense of humor when it comes time for their child to “come out of the closet.”
In a new viral video, a mother stands in her bathrobe and reenacts what it was like waiting for her daughter to tell her that she was gay.
“My mom’s says this was how it was when I came out. I love her. She’s a minister everyone. Religion shouldn’t involve hate,” 22-year-old U.S. Army soldier Bri wrote accompanying the video that she posted to Tumblr.
Bri’s mom’s hilarious reenactment went a little something like this:
The mom opens the door and asks, “Are you coming out? Not yet? Okay.”
Then she repeatedly knocks on the closet door and says, “Are you ready? Oh okay, well let us know when you come out okay?”
She then swings the door wide open and says, “Oh, you made an announcement? Oh okay. Thanks, cause it wasn’t locked.”
