Raven-Symoné named official co-host of ABC's 'The View'

Can’t get enough of Raven-Symoné? Well, you’re about to be seeing a lot more of her.

Symoné was named an official co-host of ABC’s The View Wednesday.

The 29-year-old has served as a guest co-host for several months as the show tinkered with its lineup and attempted to fill a void left by the departure of Rosie O’Donnell back in February.

Symoné’s had a string of sound bite hits in the last 8 months or so.

She told Oprah she wasn’t African-American, just American. Then she said she never said she wasn’t black.

She denied Bill Cosby ever sexually assaulted her even though no one was really saying that happened.

She defended a TV host’s racially tinged “ape” comments about Michelle Obama. She claimed to be from every continent on Africa.

And she also just isn’t feeling Harriet Tubman being on the $20 bill.

Here’s That’s So Raven’s official statement:

“The Disney Company has made another one of my dreams come true! Being a part of ‘The View’ family will be a wonderful growing experience for me,” said Raven-Symoné. “The cast and crew are warm and welcoming and has made the transition into daytime talk easier. I have a lot to learn within this new arena, but being the apprentice of these spectacular women will only make me a better person and talk show host. I want to thank ABC, ABC News and The Disney Company for believing in me and my potential! Let’s have some fun!

Ladies and Gentleman, Raven-Symoné!
