Diddy arrested for assaulting son's UCLA football coach with a deadly weapon

Sean “Diddy” Combs was allegedly arrested by the UCLA police department Monday afternoon after getting into a physical altercation with his son’s football coach.

Diddy was watching his 21-year-old son Justin Combs practice at a UCLA athletic complex and later reportedly confronted Justin’s strength and conditioning coach, Sal Alosi, at an athletic training facility.

TMZ reports Diddy swung a kettlebell, narrowly missing Alosi.

Director of UCLA community relations Nancy Greenstein confirmed to USA TODAY Sports that Diddy was arrested on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which was a kettlebell.

According to TMZ, earlier today, Alosi was seen screaming at Justin on the field during a strength and conditioning session. According to a TMZ source, the coach “was riding Justin, screaming intensely at him.” Diddy reportedly watched the incident from the sideline.

“I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation,” UCLA coach Jim Mora said in a statement issued through the UCLA newsroom. “This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”
