A group of people had initially gathered to watch and record a fight between two women, but then a car came barreling onto the scene, and the onlookers watched in amazement as four women were hit by a car … and all walked away with only minor injuries.
The twenty-something year-old female driver and a passenger fled the scene after four young women were sent flying into the air, and detectives are working diligently to find them.
“The suspect was in a vehicle and ran over 4 girls then allegedly hit a car later on. We do have the car the driver committed the crime in we currently have a person of interest we are looking for. We have also interviewed all of the victims and witnesses out there,” said St. Louis Police Chief Michael Floore.
The driver is still at large, and police are not yet sure what her involvement is in the argument and fight that seemed to be happening before the hit and run occurred.
When she is eventually caught, the driver will likely felony charges of aggravated assault, leaving the scene of an accident and a hit and run. Police intend to release a name and photo of a person of interest in the case if she is not caught by Friday.
