Will Smith slams divorce rumors via Facebook post: 'If I decide to divorce my Queen I'll tell you myself!'

Earlier today, a salacious report for the gossip site RadarOnline went viral claiming that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith were getting divorced after 17 years of marriage.

Will Smith turned to Facebook Monday afternoon to set the record straight on the status of his marriage and expressed his undying love for his “Queen” Jada.

“Under normal circumstances, I don’t usually respond to foolishness. (Because it’s contagious),” he writes. But, after receiving what he calls “deepest condolences” from close friends, he felt a need to speak out.

“So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness… Jada and I are…NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!” he said. “I promise you all — if I ever decide to divorce my Queen — I SWEAR I’ll tell you myself! #‎Dumb‬ People Should Have to Wear Scarlet D’s.”

Pinkett-Smith also addressed divorce rumors in a recent interview with American Waythe magazine for American Airlines.

“Every year there’s a new [divorce rumor], and I’m like, ‘Here we go. Get ready. Are ya holdin’ on tight?’ ”

“Marriages go through shifts,” she added. “And relationships go through shifts because in life things shift. So people are automatically like, ‘What’s going on? They must be getting a divorce.’ Well, no. But when people feel those shifts and there’s a mystery, they have to fill it with something.”
