Omarosa Manigault, one of the best-known Apprentice contestants, is rising to Donald Trump’s defense after his disastrous clash with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly.
“Look, it’s so clear to me that Megan Kelly had a bone to pick with Donald Trump,” Manigault told “Reliable Sources” host Brian Stelter Sunday. “Everyone saw it.”
The clash came when Megyn Kelly grilled Donald Trump over offensive language he had previously used to describe women. Kelly was interviewing Trump following the Republican presidential primary debates, and after the interview, Trump further seemed to alienate women when he suggested Kelly had “blood coming out of her wherever.”
But Manigault, in her defense of Trump, insisted that Kelly did not give him “a fair chance of showing where he stands on women’s issues.” She suggested that Kelly should have been asking about women’s health and the minimum wage instead.
Another “Apprentice” alum, Katrina Campins, also defending Trump, saying, “I don’t think he has a problem with women.”
Despite these two women defending him, and despite the fact that Trump has since come forward to say that he was not, in fact, making a reference to menstruation when he made his “blood” comments about Kelly, many women are still upset by what they feel are sexist and derogatory comments made by the presidential hopeful.
