Nike employee stole over $9000 worth of shoes over a six-month period

A Nike employee named Markell Fossett has been arrested after stealing over $9000 worth of sneakers over the course of six months.

According to investigators, Fossett had been stealing shoes since February until he was caught and fired in June, reports MyFoxMemphis. During the investigation into the alleged thefts, Fossett apparently described to investigators the manner in which he would select and steal the shoes.

Fossett would place on sneaker at a time in his crotch area in order to carry them through checkpoints. He would then place the shoes in his vehicle.

Nike reported that 205 shoes had been lost and that the value of those shoes was $9,225.
