An NYPD 911 operator was busted after she sent firefights to the apartment she’d just been kicked out of in an attempt to harass her former landlord and to gain re-entry into the apartment.

Joselene Brunot lied to 911 operators when she said that she still lived in the apartment and that she had left the stove on. She had hoped that the firefighters would be able to get her inside the apartment so that she could reclaim something that she had left behind, so she claimed to have been locked out.

The first fake call was made in September, at which time responding firefighters forced the lock. However, Brunot must have left something behind again, because she repeated the fake call on Thursday. This time, though, Brunot was caught in her lie when the tenant of the apartment answered the door to the firefighters.

She was arrested following a complaint from a tenant and faces two counts of falsely reporting an incident.
