Janet Jackson cancels Vegas shows to rest her voice

Janet Jackson will not be appearing at her scheduled shows on Oct. 9 and Oct. 10. Instead, she has cancelled the shows and moved her Las Vegas appearance to May, where she will hold a concert at a 20,000-person venue. Jackson has cited a need to rest her her vocal chords as her reason for canceling tour dates.

The shows had been schedule to be held at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, but there are plans to have a new arena in April behind MGM’s New York-New York and Monte Carlo.

For those ticket holders who are missing out on her show, Jackson has promised a refund as well as chances to have the first shot at tickets for her May performance.
