Sheree Whitfield is not pleased with a producer of Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Apparently, Whitfield had made a deal with executive producer Carlos King to come back to the show as a full-time cast member following NeNe Leakes’ departure. However, the deal she actually got was only a 10 to 12 episode showing.
“Here she thought she was returning to pick up where NeNe left off as one of the original cast members, but now her episodic run is as limited as Demetria McKinney’s was last season,” a source told Daily Mail Online.
“Sheree didn’t get a contract for the show until after she started production on Season 8,” the source said. “She was several weeks into taping when the network presented her a contract for a limited number of episodes, much to her surprise.”
The source also noted that, during Whitfield’s time away from the show, she had gone on to get her license in real estate and had talked with King about showcasing not only her career but also the career of other women that she knew who were successful in real estate as a possible TV show.
“Without telling Sheree, Carlos started pitching the show to networks and WE TV became interested,” the source revealed.
Carlos later offered her co-executive producer credit and offered to get her back to RHOA full-time (though Whitfield would later learn that she was still only in 10 to 12 episodes). “He was just trying to do whatever he could to keep her from suing him,” the source said.
