KeKe Palmer recently stirred up some serious buzz after a steamy new music video featured a woman as her love interest. But Palmer says she isn’t interested in labels and doesn’t want to be tied down by labels for her sexuality like “gay” or “straight” or “bi.”
“I don’t feel the need to define nothin’ to nobody, because I’m always changing,” she told People. “Why say that I’m this or that when I might not be tomorrow?”

She then went on to address the “I Don’t Belong to You” music video, which made waves with its release back in October and generated a whole lot of questions about the star’s sexuality. The video featured Palmer naked as she stood in the shower, but the scene everyone was talking about saw her arriving at a woman’s house in lingerie, ready for a night to remember.

“The video was to represent the young woman today — it’s not the traditional woman anymore — and not the specifics of ‘Am I gay? Am I straight? Am I bi?’” she added. “I’m making the rules for myself, and I don’t have to be stuck down to one label. I’m gonna follow my own feelings and my own heart.”
