Phaedra Parks on husband Apollo Nida: 'I'll always love him'

Phaedra Parks announced more than a year ago that she would be divorcing husband Apollo Nida.

But she has yet to file. Maybe it’s because she still has feelings for him…

“I still love my husband, and I’ll always love him,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star admitted during an interview with OKMagazine. “He’s the father of my children, and something great came from our union.”

“I’m very optimistic,” she added. “This has not tainted my view on love.

Parks also spoke to the difficulties of being a single mother while Nida is locked away serving an 8-year sentence for federal fraud.

“I think the hardest part about being a single mom is that all the responsibilities and all the weight of being a parent falls on your shoulders, so you really don’t have a lot time to just concentrate on being off and just relaxing,” she said. “I really don’t have a lot of time to do some of the things I used to could do when I was single and didn’t have children.”

“It’s being busy constantly and learning how to juggle two children, different schools, different carpools, different activities, different play dates,” she added. “It can be quite stressful.”

But, Parks said, her family and friends have stepped up to the plate to help her out.

“My parents are really good,” she said. “My mom comes every week and she helps me — [and] I’ve got a wonderful circle of girlfriends that always help me, that always find time to come and give me a few hours.”
