A Florida doctor’s temper tantrum was caught on camera as she attacked an Uber driver, and the video has gone viral.
The person who posted the video, Juan Cinco, said on YouTube that he had called for an Uber driver when, “out of nowhere the girl in the video gets in the backseat of his car and won’t get out. We told the driver it was ok, to just cancel our ride, but he did not want to take her anywhere so he kept telling her to get out.”
The woman in the video is Anjali Ramkissoon, a fourth-year neurology resident. Since the video of Ramkissoon’s actions went viral, according to the Jackson Health System, Ramkissoon “has been placed on administrative leave, effective immediately, and removed from all clinical duties.”
In the video, she can be seen attempting to hit the driver and then kneeing him in the groin. She can also been seen throwing various objects at the driver, including his iPhone.
Police were called to the scene, but the driver did not decide to press charges, and Ramkissoon offered the driver some money as well as an apology.
After the story went viral, Uber released the following statement: “Uber expects everyone associated with the platform — both drivers and riders — to conduct themselves with a shared level of respect and common courtesy, and all forms of harassment and abuse are not tolerated. We have suspended the rider account of this individual as we investigate the incident.”
