Spike Lee endorses Bernie Sanders for president, says he’ll ‘do the right thing’

Spike Lee says Bernie Sanders is the presidential candidate who will ‘Do The Right Thing.’

The director made his endorsement of Sen. Sanders in a new radio add released Tuesday.

“Ninety-nine percent of Americans were affected by the Great Recession of 2008,” Lee says in the radio spot. “Many of you affected are listening to me right now. That’s why I am officially endorsing my main man Bernie Sanders. Bernie takes no money from corporations. Nada. Which means he don’t owe nobody nothing. When he gets into the White House, he will do the right thing.”

Lee then heaps praise on the Senator’s record and civil rights involvement.

“Let’s go to the tale of the tape. Marched with Dr. King. Arrested in Chicago for protesting segregation in Chicago’s public schools. Fought for wealth and education equality throughout his entire career. Consistency people. No flip flop.”
