‘Prison Bae’ Jeremy Meeks released from jail, job offers pour in

Jeremy Meeks, the “prison bae” whose mugshot went viral and led to all sorts of modeling offers, has been released after spending two years in jail.

On Tuesday, Meeks met his wife and children before he was transferred to a transitional housing facility  for a few weeks before he is “completely free to start his new journey,” said his manager, Jim Jordan.

“We have a lot in store regarding Jeremy’s new career,” Jordan said in a statement on Wednesday. “There are a multitude of offers on the table. Jeremy is humbled and grateful and overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for him and his family.”

With job offers and freedom ahead of him, Meeks said that he was ready to take on whatever the future held.

“I want to thank my family and everybody for all your love, support and prayers,” he wrote on Instagram on Wednesday. “I’m overwhelmed and grateful for what lies ahead. I’m ready.”

Even after his arrest, Meeks remained active on social media and continued to post pictures and updates letting his fans know when he was going to be released. Just before his release, he posted online, saying, “Looking forward to reuniting with my family. Counting down the days. #6days #spreadtheword.”

Meeks’ manager Jim Jordan provided a statement about his release to theGrio.com:

Jeremy was released at 9:00am March 8th, 2016. He was greeted by his wife Melissa, his three children, and myself Jim Jordan his manager. Jeremy had a very limited time before having to arrive at transitional housing where he will be for the next few weeks before he is completely free to start his new journey.
We have a lot in store regarding Jeremy’s new career. There are a multitude of offers on the table. Jeremy is humbled and grateful and overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for him and his family.
