Gospel great Daryl Coley died on Tuesday evening at age 60.
The award-winning singer is best known for his hits, “Beyond the Veil,” “When Sunday Comes,” and “He’s Preparing Me.”

n 1991, at the height of his success, Coley fell sick, experiencing flu-like symptoms. He was soon diagnosed with diabetes, which caused him temporary blindness.
Coley died in hospice care while surrounded by his family, according to reports.

Late Tuesday, Coley’s son, Te’ceion Coley, posted the news on Instragram, saying, “I love you forever, Daddy.”
