A 50-year-old Georgia man fatally shot five people before turning the gun on himself on Friday after he lost control upon learning that his wife wanted to divorce him.
Wayne Anthony Hawes was discovered dead by a self-inflicted gunshot wound early Saturday shortly. His house was also on fire when investigators discovered him.

The five people shot by Hawes were injured in two different shootings. Four died on the scene, while another died at the hospital following the shooting.
While investigators say that Hawes’ wife was not among the victims of the shootings, though some of her family members were killed, according to sheriff’s Captain Andy Shedd.
