With the tragic passing of music icon Prince, NBC will pay tribute to the late star with an unique spotlight of the artist’s musical performances, although SNL had meant to take off the upcoming weekend in preparation for the final May shows.

NBC stated that instead of rerunning the Joe Hemsworth/Opportunity the Rapper show, they will run something they are calling ‘SNL Good Night Sweet Prince.’ The homage show will look back on the pop-culture idol’s many notable shows through the years.
