Residents of a Pennsylvania town were shocked when they found fliers from the KKK as well as lollipops and rocks in bags on their property.
Jaimi Hajzus woke up on Saturday to a flurry of text messages from friends in her hometown who had found the fliers.
“Are there troubles in your neighborhood?” the fliers read. “Contact the Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan today!”
The fliers also included an image of a KKK Klansman pointing a finger in the style of the old Uncle Sam recruitment posters along with the slogan: “You can sleep tonight knowing the Klan is awake.”
Hajzus said that the community members feel this is like the result of a new white supremacist cell, but they are unsure what to do about it just yet.
“I feel like they’re trying to pick a fight, and I don’t want to bring a gun to a knife fight,” Hajzus told The Washington Post Monday. “It’s hard to know how strongly to approach this.”
This isn’t the only community to have this problem, with reports of similar fliers being distributed on lawns all over the United States as other white supremacist cells are growing more emboldened.
