On Sunday night, Azealia Banks took to Facebook to accuse actor Russell Crowe of assaulting her at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
“To recap my night, I went to a [party] at Russell Crowes suite, at which he called me a n—-r, choked me, threw me out and spat at me,” she wrote. “Last night was one of the hardest nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time.”
“The men in the room allowed it to happen,” she continued. “I feel terrible today.”
She then promised proof, writing in a comment on the since-deleted post, “I have receipts. Stay tuned.”

But TMZ reported a different story, describing a dinner party in which Russell Crowe had invited about 10 people, including RZA, who brought Banks along as a guest. She allegedly called Crowe and another guest “boring, white men.”
When another guest defended Crowe, Banks allegedly replied, “You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino s–t,” along with a few racial slurs as she cocked her glass back.
Crowe then reportedly grabbed her in a “bear hug” to carry her out before calling for security to remove her.
According to the celebrity news website, Banks has since filed a battery report over the incident after the actor failed to apologize to her.
