It was a Beyoncé takeover at the 2016 Country Music Awards as the singer wowed audiences with a special performance with the Dixie Chicks.
The singer, adorned in a white sheer gown, joined the girl band to perform her song “Daddy Lessons,” which is a nod to country music and her hometown of Houston, Texas. BeyoncĂ©Â also sang a bit of the Dixie Chick’s song “Long Time Gone.”
–BeyonceĂ©’s Formation tour sells over 2 million tickets, banks over $250 million–
As one can imagine, the Internet expressed their total adoration. But not everyone seemed happy about BeyoncĂ©’s crossover to country music, as some country fans slammed news of the singer hitting the stage. Thankfully, most agreed BeyoncĂ© killed it.

Beyoncé performed an uptempo song with no dancers & no choreography and still gave us a great performance. Michael Jackson could never.

I’m late but this BeyoncĂ© and Dixie Chicks performance is so dope. A true blend of worlds and cultures that makes America great.
