The LGBT community is mourning alongside the family and friends of a man who was found brutally murdered in Nashville.
According to police, the 24-year-old Deon Brown was dressed in women’s clothing when he was discovered dead as the result of a fatal stabbing.
Police spokesman Don Aaron noted that no arrests have been made as of Wednesday, and a motive is not yet known, but police are pursuing leads.

“For the time being, I cannot elaborate on the information we have received that necessitated us to travel to North Carolina,” Aaron said.
Many have since expressed their condolences, with the hashtag #JusticeForDeon spreading on social media.
“I mostly remember his youthful spirit, hunger for life and glowing smile,” said Vaughn Alvarez, a long-time friend of Brown’s. “At this point, I’m still to numb and in disbelief this happened. I am trying to find ways to prevent this from happening again to my young LGBT brothers and sisters.”
