On Wednesday, ABC reported that president-elect Donald Trump is considering former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin for the position of Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
Early on in Trump’s campaign, Palin was a supporter of the media mogul and gave appearances and speeches at campaign events. She rose to political prominence in the 2008 presidential election, when she ran as John McCain’s vice presidential running mate against Barack Obama.
The news comes as Trump is struggling to fill positions in his new cabinet ahead of his inauguration next month.
