In a guest column for The Hollywood Reporter, Omarosa Manigault claims that Donald Trump will help women “shatter the glass ceiling.”
Manigault, who led the outreach effort for African-Americans during Trump’s candidacy, pointed naysayers to Trump’s time as the host of “The Apprentice,” writing, “He does not judge people on their gender or race. He judges them on their ability to do the job.”
“Look to his past to see what he will do for women in this country,” she added, pointing out her own success on the show before adding, “We can look at his current company, The Trump Organization: He has more women executives than his competition — and they are also the highest-paid executives in his company.”

“Look at his daughter Ivanka, who is about to take over the company,” she continued. “As early as the ‘80s, he has had women in roles as construction managers. That was unprecedented.”
“I believe he will empower women and have them shatter the glass ceiling,” she added.
She then went on to address the fact that many people perceive the president-elect to be sexist, saying, “In my experiences with him, he has only been professional.”
“I am aware of the perceptions,” she added, “but he is open-minded.”
