The Atlanta chapter of Black Lives Matter is wondering why black people celebrate Christmas.
On Twitter, the organization asked why black people are so willing to celebrate the holiday, since white people don’t celebrate any black holidays.
“White folk do not worship any holiday belonging to black people. Why do black folks go all out for CHRISTMAS?” Black Lives Matter tweeted.

This was not a popular tweet, as it only got a couple of likes ,with others tweeting dissenting comments like, “You’re just a disgrace.”
One person replied, “I don’t know maybe because they can do whatever the hell they want and no stupid ass twitter account can stop them.”
When it came time to explain their comments, this is what Black Lives Matter had to say: “Christmas is a corporate holiday that does nothing but generate millions of dollars for white businesses powered by white supremacy.”
In response, another user pointed out that it’s also a “Christian holiday.”
