Trump says any negative polls he doesn’t like are ‘fake news’

President Donald Trump couldn’t be any clearer about where he stands on people who disagree with him: he just doesn’t believe they exist.

“Any negative polls are fake news, just like the CNN, ABC, NBC polls in the election. Sorry, people want border security and extreme vetting,” he tweeted on Monday morning.

The tweet probably came in response to a CNN poll. The poll found that 53 percent of Americans oppose his recent executive order that bans travel from seven Muslim-majority countries and has halted the refugee program. Fifty-five percent of those polled believe that the executive order is an attempt at a Muslim ban. What’s more, 60 percent of people oppose the border wall.

While the poll itself is over a week old, CNN’s New Day was discussing the poll just before Trump sent out the tweet.
