O’Reilly announces vacation from show amid sexual harassment allegations

On Tuesday, Fox News personality Bill O’Reilly announced suddenly that he would be taking a vacation from his show.

In making the announcement, O’Reilly tried to make it clear that he was not leaving the show because of the sexual harassment allegations against him after recent controversy, when it was announced that he and Fox News had paid out around $13 million to women who had accused him of sexual harassment.

“Around this time of year, I grab some vacation because it’s spring and Easter time,” O’Reilly explained on his show. “Last fall I booked a trip that should be terrific. Not going to tell you where it is but…I’ll have a full report when I return.”

O’Reilly is currently embroiled in controversy since the sexual harassment allegations came out against him, and around 70 advertisers have pulled away from the show. However, he has received support from the likes of President Donald Trump, who said that O’Reilly “didn’t do anything wrong,” except to settle.

“I think he shouldn’t have settled, personally. I think he shouldn’t have settled. Because you should have taken it all the way,” Trump said.
