In an interview with Larry King on Larry King Now, Faith Evans opened up about the collaboration with Lil’ Kim two decades after they were both tied to Notorious B.I.G.
“Lil’ Kim and I were on the Bad Boy reunion tour together, and I had actually reached out to her to do a record a few albums ago, and it just didn’t happen because of scheduling,” Evans said.
“I never imagined that it would be on an album with Big and I that we would actually end up working together,” she added.
“So when I was doing the tour, when we were rehearsing for the tour, I asked her, like, ‘Would you be interested in doing this record, which I don’t have yet?’ But I told her this whole concept for the album, and she said yes right away. And by the time we were halfway through the tour, I had the song that I thought was the perfect one,” she said.
“I told her, like, I really want you to express how you felt for him and how his passing affected her.”
