During a panel at a women’s conference in Germany, Ivanka Trump was met with groans, boos, and hisses as she tried to defend her father’s feminism.
On Tuesday, Ivanka said that her father, President Donald Trump, was a “tremendous champion of supporting families,” and it was clear that the audience didn’t agree in the slightest.
She also said that Trump had “encouraged me and enabled me to thrive” and that she could speak about him “on a very personal level” as his daughter.
She added that she hoped to be able to influence her father’s administration through “incremental positive change.”
Ivanka is in Germany not only to participate in the panels on empowerment and entrepreneurship but she is also expected to meet with and have dinner with Angela Merkel.
