On Tuesday, TV One and the National Urban League are together hosting a town hall that will be recorded and then televised as “The State of Black America.”
The National Urban League Presents “The State of Black America” is one of the “most highly-anticipated” reports on the progress our country has made. It occurs semiannually and examined the politics, sociology, and other aspects of Black America.
News One Now’s Roland Martin is set to moderate the town hall, with participants including the likes of Angela Rye and Michael Eric Dyson.
According to a press release from TV One, “This year’s discussion will cover the cities of Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, New Orleans, and Miami and the pillars of education, entrepreneurship and wealth building, youth and mentoring, jobs and workforce reentry, and housing, respectively. Each city will be tied to an individual pillar and community program, focused on its impact and what could happen if the program were to be removed.”
