Hall of Famer Cortez Kennedy found dead

Cortez Kennedy, the Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive tackle who was an eight-time Pro Bowler when he played with the Seattle Seahawks, was found dead in Orlando on Tuesday morning.

According to the Orlando Police Department, the circumstances of Kennedy’s death are still unknown, but thus far, there is nothing suspicious being reported, though an investigation is ongoing.

Kennedy was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2012, 12 years after his retirement in 2000 from the NFL.

Kennedy was 48 years old.
