A prankster posing as Reince Priebus, the former White House chief of staff, tricked and engaged Anthony Scaramucci, who was recently ousted from the White House after only ten days, in intense conversation, all while Scaramucci apparently believed that he was speaking to the real Priebus, according to a CNN report.
“At no stage have you acted in a way that’s even remotely classy, yet you believe that’s the standard by which everyone should behave towards you,” wrote the prankster, who goes by his anonymous Twitter handle, @Sinon_Reborn. “General Kelly will do a fine job. I’ll even admit he will do a better job than me. But the way in which that transition has come about has been diabolical. And hurtful. I don’t expect a reply.”
–Was Trump’s headline news a distraction from this Russia hearing?–
“You know what you did. We all do. Even today. But rest assured we were prepared. A Man would apologize,” Scaramucci reportedly replied, though he never said precisely what it was that he was accusing Priebus of having done.
When the prankster, still posing as Priebus, refused to apologize and continued to poke fun at Scaramucci, Scaramucci replied, “Read Shakespeare. Particularly Othello. You are right there. My family is fine by the way and will thrive. I know what you do.” He then added, “No more replies from me.”
The same prankster also claimed to have posed successfully as Jon Huntsman Jr., Trump’s pick for ambassador to Russia, in an exchange in which he asked who Scaramucci wanted out of the White House first. Scaramucci replied that he wanted Priebus as well as White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon out of the White House.
