Omarosa accused of antagonizing April Ryan at NABJ convention

Omarosa Manigault attended the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention over the weekend, and several of the other attendees were exasperated by her presence.

On Friday, she had a heated exchange with moderator Ed Gordon onstage, and she later tracked down CNN commentator Symone Sanders to reportedly lay into her for the fact that Sanders had complained on social media that Manigault shouldn’t have been there.

She also reportedly tried to steal the thunder from White House correspondent and CNN contributor, April Ryan, who had been awarded the Journalist of the Year award at the convention.

According to eyewitnesses, Manigault reportedly crashed the hotel where Ryan and her friends were celebrating the award, sitting at a table nearby but not joining in the celebrations to which she was not invited.

Jarrett Hill posted a clip of himself making a toast on Instagram recounting how, he claimed, “she thought she’d stick around longer and come sit next to our table (April Ryan and company) to get a little more attention in the hotel’s restaurant and grill. After she arrived, and requested a table adjacent to ours – like she was in high school – our table paid her no mind, and decided we’d celebrate April.”

According to TMZ, sources close to Manigault said that she had not planned out her appearance to coincident with Ryan’s celebration and that she just happened to be there, though the sources did not say why she stayed.
