Eric Bolling’s son Eric Chase, 19, died on Friday, mere hours after his father lost his job at the Fox News Channel.
The cause of death is being investigated and an autopsy will not be done until Monday.
Eric Chase Bolling was beginning his second year at the University of Colorado and it is not yet clear if he died on campus or off it.
Bolling confirmed the tragic news on Twitter.

“Adrienne and I are devastated by the loss of our beloved son Eric Chase last night. Details still unclear,” Bolling tweeted. “Thoughts, prayers appreciated.”
In another tweet, he wrote, “Authorities have informed us there is no sign of self-harm at this point. … Please respect our grieving period.”
Eric was the couple’s only child and a family friend said they are in shock.
Bolling Sr. had been with Fox News for some time but signed a new, multi-year contract in June. Then, in August there was an investigation into allegations that he sent women colleagues an unsolicited lewd image of himself.
That investigation was first reported by HuffPost and Bolling moved to sue the reporter and has said he will fight the claims against him, calling them “false smear attacks.”
I am so sorry for your loss. I know how devoted you were to your son. I cannot fathom how difficult this must be. https://t.co/hJ56gmqGnf
