On Wednesday, Hillary Clinton pulled no punches when it comes to the people who say they regret not voting in the 2016 election, saying that she does not forgive them for their refusal to get involved in politics.
She recalled in her new book, What Happened, which details the story of the 2016 presidential campaign from her point of view, how “more than two dozen women” had come up to her after the election to apologize for “not voting or not doing more to help my campaign.”

But during Wednesday’s episode of CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” Clinton told Cooper that she does not forgive those people, though she does hope they learn from their mistakes.
“When it first started happening, it was so soon after the election,” she said. “It was hard for me to comfort somebody who was coming to me and saying, ‘Oh, I wish I had done more,’ or, ‘I’m sorry I didn’t vote’ because I think this was one of the most consequential elections that we have faced in a long time.”
“So, no absolution. But I just hope people will take what happened this time seriously and be ready and willing to vote the next time.”
