Tamron Hall says new show is best birthday gift, to debut next year

Hall's new show is set to debut next year, and she's pretty excited about it.

During Wednesday’s Marchesa show, Tamron Hall appeared in a sparkling blue dress next to her new boss, Harvey Weinstein, with whom she is partnering on a daytime television show, a couple days ahead of her birthday.

“My birthday is in two days, and Harvey gave me a birthday gift very early — discussions about this show, a big vision and big ideas,” she told the New York Post. “I’ve been on TV for 25 years, since I was 18. Now, as I’m approaching 47, this is where I want to be and where I need to be. I’m just in the happiest place that I’ve been.”

Hall and Weinstein were at the show to celebrate the designs of Weinstein’s wife, Georgina Chapman, who co-designed the collection.

Hall also recently hosted an event in conjunction with Net-a-Porter that honored her sister, Renate, the victim of an unsolved homicide.

“We raised money through fashion for domestic violence awareness,” Hall said. “It’s been a special Fashion Week for that reason, for me. My lip starts to quiver now, I get emotional.”

Hall’s new show is set to debut next year.
