A pair of Wisconsin cousins allegedly shot and killed a pizza deliveryman and then ate the pizza he’d brought to their door.
Mekael Kennedy, 17, and his cousin D’Andre Kennedy, 25, were charged with murder in connection with the death of Clarence Taper earlier this month, TMJ4.com reported.
On Sept. 11, Taper, who worked for Buddy’s Pizza and Steak in Milwaukee, delivered a pizza to the cousins’ apartment, only to be met with Mekael, wearing a hockey mask and allegedly pointing D’Andre’s gun at Taper.
The cousins reportedly demanded Taper’s money, at which point the gun went off. However, Mekael reportedly told police that he was not sure how the gun went off, because he had the safety on.
Mekael claimed that he fired at Taper because Taper lunged at him, and D’Andre claimed that Taper tried to take the hockey mask off of Mekael’s face.
Mekael also admitted to police that he had robbed a Papa John’s delivery driver only days previously.
Mekael, who was tried as an adult, is facing charges of armed robbery and murder, which could land him in prison for up to 95 years. D’Andre has been charged with harboring a felon and obstructing an officer.
