Amazon has a new, bright idea.
Amazon has announced “Amazon Key,” a new service that would allow packages to be delivered inside of your home, rather than at the doorstep. This service hopes to make deliveries more convenient and prevent package theft. The Amazon Key In-Home Kit costs $250, and includes an Amazon Cloud Cam and a smart lock that will allow couriers to enter your home and drop off your package, all while being recorded.
In other words, Amazon wants you to pay $250 to allow strangers in your home.
Strangers having remote controlled access to your home and a live video feed of the inside of your house… what could possibly go wrong?
